Required Solaris Administrator - IT for M.H Alshaya Co in Kuwait

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, the Solaris Administrator will be responsible for monitoring of SUN servers.
Responsibilities:

• Solaris - 10 Administration
• Solaris Zones ( Hands on Exp )
• ZFS
• Sun Cluster
• Sun Hardware Experience M Series and Sun Fire Servers
• Shell Scripting Skills
• Experience with TCP/IP protocols. Ability to troubleshoot complex network problems between multiple hosts.
• Significant experience in UNIX security counter-measures and intrusion detection.
• Experience in the configuration of application servers, such as Tomcat. Experience in the steps required to deploy Java applications.
• Proven ability to resolve technical problems, analyze performance and make recommendations to improve current processes.
• Full fill ISMS requirements like documentation, logging, etc..for SUN Assets
• Excellent communication and documentation skills - including analytics and attention to detail
• SAN Storage Experience is an added advantage
• Will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation

Skills / Experience:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent
• 3 to 6 years of experience in Solaris Administration.
