• Participate in the development of the Academic Computing Services Strategic Plan and Execution plan
• Develop and manage the Academic Computing Services department budget
• Develop policies & procedures for Academic Computing Services and oversee adherence in practices
• Provide a range of IT services which support the learning and teaching environments, allowing web interface between faculty & students for posting of classroom material, submission of assignments, posting of grades, etc.
• Provide advice, training and assistance (one-to-one or group consultation) to faculty members in integrating technology tools into their teaching to enhance and facilitate students’ learning and to help them acquire confidence and capacity in a wide variety of computer applications useful in their teaching and research
• Strive to achieve and maintain accreditation within department
• Ensure timely & consistent web interface with students to support the Academic learning process
• Supervise unit’s activities, providing timely, quality services
• Maintain a Website with a variety of online tutorials for consultation and self-teaching
• Provide access to software and hardware and troubleshooting support
• Participate in Policies & Procedures Review Committee, Strategic Planning Committee as needed
• Member of Department Heads Committee
• Promote a Learning and development culture within department
• Contribute to the professional field on the national and regional level
• Organize seminars in which faculty members demonstrate how they are using various technology tools to supplement and enrich their classroom teaching, and allowing the sharing of expertise with colleagues and administration
• Report periodically on the Center's status and progress of the plans, activities, challenges and accomplishments
