Head of Retail Operations will be responsible for store operations, staff development, marketing and visual merchandising for assigned stores. Actively contributes to development of business initiatives relevant to brand projects.
• Drives and delivers sales performance of assigned stores. • Manages sales objectives and operational costs, in line with agreed business plan. Implement processes, which clearly communicate personal responsibility at all, levels for achievement of weekly/monthly sales targets. • Ensures stores maximize use of space, anticipating and advising changes to layout based on sales or seasonal history. Influences brand and business managers on range profile, allocation, depth and width. • Determines and implements options to correct sales under performance or to exploit sales opportunities. • Ensures selection and development of productive and high-performing store employees to meet stores staffing requirements through close liaison and co-planning with HR function. • Develops and implements training to maximize sales potential. • Deploys and plans promotion of staff relative to individual strengths to maximize business plan delivery.
• Maintains a dynamic working relationship with brand teams to optimise business performance. Ensuring that the brands and visual merchandising teams visit stores regularly and give feedback within the agreed protocols. • Keeps abreast of brand developments within the home market, and recommends up-to-date brand identity, as appropriate / cost-effective. • Suggests and implements brand-specific strategies to increase and improve sales. • Networks with Centre managements to keep informed of space becoming available. • Identifies and delivers initiatives to enhance business/ increase and improve sales. • Keeps abreast of competitor activity and feeds back to brand and operations management.
