Dean of the College of Business Administration - Gulf University - GUST


Qualification
• An earned Phd. in business or a business related field from a professionally accredited institution
• an established record of teaching, scholarship, and service that qualifies the candidate for a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor in one of the College's disciplines
10 years experience either in an academic setting or in senior executive position in industry or government. At least 4 years experience in a related or similar position, with increasing managerial responsibilities for academic personnel
• Experience with AACSB and regional accrediting agencies standards and accreditation processes.

The Dean is the College's chief administrative and academic officer and reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Dean should possess visionary and strategic qualities for providing leadership for the educational and professional missions of the college. The Dean is responsible for guiding, directing, and overseeing the College’s educational programs, promoting the college with external constituents.

Duties / responsibilities
• Provide leadership in responding to the educational needs of Kuwait and the region.
• Promote and enhance business relations with corporate in kuwait.
• Prior experience in the region is preferable
• Provide strategic directions of the college and promote it in his/her own circles and explore opportunities to develop new programs and research areas
• Responsible for overseeing faculty and staff, curriculum planning, development and evaluation, budget management, advisory boards, community outreach, and external relations
• Provide an excellent learning environment for our students adopting modern and technology based approaches whenever applicable.
• Lead planning for student recruitment and retention in the College and participate in marketing and promotion planning and activities
• Collaborate with Student Affairs in analyzing and resolving student academic and administrative problems and conflicts, in an effective manner
• Oversee quality and standards in the college and its departments.
