The Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait University invites applications for faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the department of Microbiology, for the Academic year 2013/2014. The faculty seeks expertise in the following area:
Basic Virology and Clinical Virology
The following minimum qualifications are required:
Clinical Virology
MBCh.B/ M.D. degree with post-graduate professional qualification in Microbiology/ Virology such as, FRCPath / Kuwaiti Board / American Board/ Canadian Board or equivalent.
At least two years of sub-specialty training in an accredited center.
Track record of teaching / training in undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
Commitment to carry out independent and collaborative research.
Basic Virology
A PhD degree in Virology (Microbiology) from a recognized University with at least two years of post-doctoral experience.
Ability to supervise projects/theses of graduate students.
Commitment to carry out independent and collaborative research work
