Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have 3-5 years of computer diagnostic, system administration, and/or helpdesk experience. Candidate must pass 2 technical interview and possess sufficient IT knowledge and experience to install and troubleshoot the following software: the most current versions of the Windows desktop operating system and Microsoft Server Operating System, Adobe Core Programs, Enterprise Anti-Virus products, Winzip, ActiveClient, PureEdge, Retina, Fedlog, Citrix, Java, current DOD approved disc wiping tools, power DVD and download drivers. Candidate must also have sufficient IT knowledge and experience to install the latest patches and security updates to all software deemed pertinent to the mission of the AFSB. This position requires IT certifications IAW DOD 8570.01.
The Contractor shall provide information management, help desk, and computer technician support. The Contractor shall provide network and systems administration support to the 402nd AFSB and its subordinate commands, but remain under the technical direction of S-6. The Contractor shall provide support to ensure system connectivity, performance throughput, security validation, availability, data integrity and data recovery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Information Technology (IT) Specialists support the AFSB S6 and subordinate units with information management, helpdesk, and computer technician support, separate from the systems administration support provided by DRS for the MMCS network and ITT for the AFSBn-KU specific Army System Fielding networks. Provide SIPRNET trusted agent support for 402nd AFSB users. Assist in obtaining, issuing, and troubleshooting CAC PKI tokens. Implement the life cycle replacement of IT equipment by setting-up new IT equipment and turning in the old out-of-date IT equipment. IT Specialists provide direct support and interface between the Command Staff at their location and the Brigade S6 and provide support to the Brigade Headquarters and other AMC supported personnel at various locations currently in Kuwait, or wherever the 402nd is tasked to operate from in the future.
