Required Supply Chain Manager - ABB Group

• 10+ years of experience in a management position
University degree in Engineering / management is essential
• Project procurement and execution skills in SCM.
• High level communication skills with inter-cultural sensitivity in a global organization
• Prior knowledge of ABB global business, policies and organization will be of a an advantage.
• Knowledge of commodity / business relevant supply markets supporting global business.
• Negotiation skills and strong business ethics should be displayed.
- Design and implement cost-out programs and / or processes to reach financial targets
- Establish good and transparent communication internally
- Control material costs in the scenario of increasing commodity costs and to counter the cost fluctuation risk.

Process Excellence:
Ensure consistently business process is applied across the Division.  Develop & implement SCM standards and tools and processes in all the LBUs in coordination with LBU Managers.

Procurement:
Ensure all procurements are within the budgeted cost and time.  Analyze the total procurements for reporting and for continuous improvement strategies for cost savings and reduction of COPQ

Material cost reduction:
Develop close relations with preferred suppliers.  Prepare cost reduction plan and monitor and report progress on regular basis.

Global & local Sourcing:
Through interactions with supply managers across the globe and using global tools identify global sources of material supplies for cost advantage.   To design and implement LCC / Local sourcing plans to reach division targets.

Civil & Installation Contracts:
Lead a committee for awarding civil and installation contracts.

People Management:
Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed.  Manage the performance by guiding, coaching, motivating and developing the direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
