Basic Qualifications:
Associate Engineer 4:
Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or military technical training program, or completion of technical institute program and 6 years of related experience. Must be trained on and experienced with the TASS to included Annunciator administration. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience.
Associate Engineer 5:
Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or military technical training program, or completion of technical institute program and 8 years of related experience. Must be trained on and experienced with the TASS to included Annunciator administration and must have IDS, ACS, and VCC Vindicator certifications. In lieu of a degree, 12 years of related experience.
Subject Matter Expert on TASS and Vindicator Physical Security Systems (not all positions require Vindicator). The successful candidate must be willing and able to deploy to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UEA, Oman, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan; obtain a DoD security clearance and a Civilian Access Card; work in the weather extremes of Southwest Asia as determine by a physical examination. The successfully candidates must have a significant level of experience installing, configuring/reconfiguring, sustaining, and de-installing TASS physical security systems at US Military bases. The TASS components will included the Annunciator v6.x, BDOC and CAOC areas, VADS; a variety of cameras including WSTIs, SLRTI, LRTI, and PTZ; a variety of assessment devices to include infrared sensors, duress alarms, fiber boundary sensors, MSTAR sensors; and support infracsturce to include but not limited to RBMs, solar panels, and communications devices. Experience and certified in Vindicator v5, IDS, ACS, and VCC system to included duress alarms, door ingress/egress devices, and a variety of assessment devices; and VICADS video management systems is required for some locations.
The successful candidate must be able to work with a variety of people at all levels with the customer and company, must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability mentor and train lower-level staff, foster team participation and have the ability to bring competing people and interests together to support common objectives, must have strong communications skills.
The successful candidate must be able to perform on-site surveys that capture the security needs of the location to include camera locations need and their field of vision including distance lighting and obstructions; determine the needed phenomenology layers, or lines of detection needed, determine the space and infrastructure requirements, and identify the equipment needed to satisfy the requirements; and the ability to accurately estimate of the installation/reconfiguration time needed; ability to generate a BOM, schedule, and identify the resources needed to complete a proposed installation or reconfiguration. The RFE is expected to coordinate the activities of one or more technicians, equipment and material deliveries with the warehouse, monitor local inventory levels, schedule maintenance activities with base Force Protection activities and assure compliance with command directives, and Leadership; support multiple locations; have the ability to generate and maintain program CM documentation, government equipment accountability records; and serve as the local lead for safety, QA, mentoring lower level technicians, customer interface at one or more bases. The RFE is responsible to assure the security system are being maintained to optimal operating proficiency, restored to fully operations in the event of a failure with 48 hour (object is less than 24 hours), tested to verify proper operation following corrective maintenance or in conjunction with preventative; administer the TASS Annunciator and the Vindicator head-end systems. Additionally, the RFE responsibilities will include all of the duties and responsibilities of a Senior Security Systems Technicians and performs other duties as assigned.
