Required Store Manager - Al Tayer Insignia in Kuwait

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Store such as checking previous days’ sales figures, reconcile the same with cash receipts/ credit card payments, maintain cleanliness/ hygiene in the shop and monitor compliance of the administrative policies and procedures of the company by all staff, in order to ensure its’ smooth and effective functioning. 
  • Organize the shop layout to create the right ambience, merchandise goods prominently in shelves as per company/ brand specifications, use window/ visual displays to enhance the appeal, continually replenish displays and storage units with stocks and focus on selling items from previous collections at the best price, so as to enable the customers to enjoy a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Supervise retail sales of items in the shop, offer discounts/ credit facilities with due caution, record details of loss of sales everyday, organize sales promotion events periodically and prospect new customers in order to increase business and reach sales targets.
  • Verify stocks at the beginning and end of each shift, replenish stocks according to season and size, take a total stock count at least twice a year and monitor compliance with stock transfer procedures, with a view to ensure availability of optimum stocks of the latest items at all times.
  • Calculate procurement budgets supplier-wise in line with contractual agreements identify slow and fast moving items according to customer mix and arrange to procure the goods, in order to forecast requirement of supplies and work within the budget.
  • Monitor staff performance with respect to customer service ensuring that all customers are greeted and met courteously, build rapport with them and attend to their needs for information/ repairs/ alterations etc., in order to offer them excellent service and solicit their continued patronage.
  • Supervise the staff with respect to their personal grooming, conduct during business hours, level of product knowledge and customer service to ensure that all the staff works as a team to achieve the business goals of the company.
  • Guide, coach, and motivate staff continuously to bring out their potential and enable them to improve their performance.
  • Liaise with customers, principals and the head office for ensuring the smooth functioning of the shop.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer database in order to communicate with them from time to time.
  • Gather market intelligence in order to stay ahead of competition.
  • Prepare relevant reports and attend meetings periodically, to review the sales performance and discuss other operational/ staff related issues.
Person Specification:
  • Graduate in any discipline with tertiary qualifications in Sales and Marketing
  • Computer literate with knowledge of basic accounting procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5 to 7 years experience in Fashion / Jewellery industry preferably involving direct sales
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Arabic is essential
  • Pleasant personality and good grooming
