Required Expert International Relations - UNDP - Environment Public Authority in Kuwait

  1. Review and assess the current status of the Department of International Relations in EPA
  2. Develop and implement a work program for the development and advancement of the management and staff capacity of the department to help achieve its objectives and conduct better performance of related objectives
  3. Conduct training sessions for the department's staff (20 people) to help build their capacity to achieve higher levels of performance
Objectives:
Support and assist the Department of International Relations at Kuwait Environment Public Authority (EPA) based on their request  
  • Demonstrates integrity by modeling the UN’s values and ethical standards
  • Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of UNDP
  • Ability to advocate and provide policy advice
  • Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting
  • Ability to lead formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes and projects
  • Ability to research and analyze national development situation
  • Focuses on impact and result for the client and responds positively to feedback
  • Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced degree in the field of Public Relations or related field with at least 15 years experience
  • Understanding of local and international business and trade laws and agreements
  • Substantive experience working with Government partners on the implementation of complex and socially sensitive programs
  • Adequate knowledge and experience working with communities
  • Strong writing, communications, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Fluency in reading and writing Arabic
