Qualifications:
Candidates must have 3-5 years VTC experience and is preferred to have 2-3 years of computer diagnostic, system administration, and/or helpdesk experience. Candidate must pass a technical interview and possess sufficient knowledge to be able to manage a fluid schedule and maintain audio and visual equipment. Knowledge of Adobe Connect is required. Candidate must be able to work independently or under general direction.
IT certifications IAW DoD 8570.01 (CompTIA Security+, and one Computing Environment Certificate, preferably Windows 7 Configuration) IAT Level II, certificate of CompTIA Security+, A+ or Network+.
4-6 years experience working with Army or DOD IT systems
Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret Clearance.
Must obtain a passport with one year or more from expiration.
Must pass CENTCOM MOD 12 medical screening and Individual Deployment Training.
nformation Technology (IT) Specialists support the 402nd AFSB S6 and subordinate units with information management, helpdesk, and computer technician support, separate from the systems administration support provided by DRS for the MMCS network and ITT for the AFSBn-KU specific Army System Fielding networks. IT Specialists provide direct support and interface between the Command Staff at their location and the Brigade S6. IT Specialists provide support to the Brigade HQ and other AMC supported personnel at various locations currently in Kuwait, or wherever the 402nd is tasked to operate from in the future.
Duties and Responsibilities:
HTSI VTC Specialists are required to install, troubleshoot, repair, and replace VTC, Audio, and Video equipment as directed by HTSI management, and the COTR and submitting necessary trouble tickets in support of the 402nd AFSB VTC equipment. Specialists are required to maintain the brigade bridge and scheduling of CENTCOM VTCs. Specialists will coordinate with MMCS, ARCENT, CENTCOM, and other bridge operators to coordinate cross network VTCs. Specialists are also responsible to provide primary support for computer based teleconferences using Adobe Connect Software. Basic end-user training on use of Tandberg and Audio/Visual equipment is also expected. Work with on-site locations to do communications testing at least 15 minutes prior to VTC.
