Business Development and Relations Officer - American University of Kuwait

To coordinate and implement CCE business development & relations plan, under the leadership of CCE director and in collaboration with Operations and marketing team members.

Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science or other relevant field based on position-specific sections above
    3-5 years of professional experience in business environment, preferably in sales, marketing and/or customer service and stakeholder relations management
    Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic

Skills
    Computer literate - MS Office
    Excellent two-way communication skills, i.e. the ability to listen to the client¢€™s requests and clearly articulate what CCE can offer
    Patient and the willingness to be persistent to achieve goals
    Demonstrable ability to be proactive, take initiative, set goals and develop a realistic strategic plan for attaining those goals within the greed timelines
    Demonstrable ability to analyze information and provide feasible solutions
    Excellent organizational skills, Ability to plan activities, manage relations with clients in ministries and corporation and maintain an accurate calendar of events
    Demonstrable ability to return phone calls, emails and written messages in a timely manner
    Able to work with CCE Operations and Marketing team to provide inputs on training program and marketing materials

Responsibilities:    

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive)
    Support key Corporate Training projects as needed. This would include assisting with needs analysis, identifying training solutions, and leading a team of contractors through a custom training development project.

New Business Development
    Meet with local government agencies and companies to assess training needs and develop programs, staff them in coordination with Operations team and monitor their delivery.
    Develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship and turn this into increased business.
    Call as appropriate within your CCE target clients to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
    Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging CCE network.
    Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
    Research and build relationships with new clients.
    Set up meetings between client decision makers and CCE director.
    Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
    Lead, with operations team, the development of proposals that speaks to the client¢€™s needs, concerns, and objectives.
    Participate in financial assessment and pricing corporate training programs.
    Handle client objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
    Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.

Client Retention
    Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions, new training programs and services to clients to enhance existing relationships.
    Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
    Gather and analyze Kuwait training market information, the solutions/services CCE can provide, and of CCE competitors.
    Attend training, learning and development functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
    Identify opportunities for CCE campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
    Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop CCE unique selling propositions and differentiators.
