The General Counsel of Kuwait reports operationally to the CEO in Kuwait and functionally to the General Counsel of Lead Country UAE and indirectly to the General Counsel Middle East. The Kuwait General Counsel leads the local Kuwait legal team supporting the business and taking care of all corporate matters of Siemens Kuwait. The General Counsel has leadership responsibility for all Kuwait business activities and is responsible for leading the legal department.
• At least five years´ successful management experience at a major law firm or in the legal department of a large industrial company
• Excellent academic record; broad legal experience
• Demonstrated leadership success, strong communication and decision making skills; highly motivated team player; analytical, professional, proactive; intercultural skills
• Fluent English
What are my responsibilities?
• Leading the legal team for Kuwait with a particular focus on providing commercial and transactional support for the business of in Kuwait
• Advising on all matters of corporate law; tasks include the function of Corporate Secretary
• Leading and managing efficient cross-business legal support, drawing on expertise in Siemens Legal Corporate or in Siemens local organizations as needed
• Anticipating and responding to legal risks and opportunities and reporting thereon in cooperation with Finance and Controlling, for Kuwait
• Implementing the business profiles of all business transactions in Kuwait and managing the department in
compliance with all requirements set by the General Counsel Middle East
