Telecommunication Engineer BSS / RAN Support - Wataniya Telecom

Provide Wataniya Telecom with an operationally effective support for maintaining and upgrading current and future services and features of the Telecom/IT network. Monitor the entire GSM/3G Network through TMN & Nokia NetAct as per shift schedule.

Qualifications:
    Required years of experience , relevant experience Cellular operation NOC/ BSS
    Good knowledge of core elements (packet and circuit)
    Strong knowledge of UNIX
    Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Access, Word etc.
    Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage.
    Diploma degree in Engineering or Telecommunication or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute.
    Strong Analytical skills
    Strong Project Management skills

Qualifications / Requirements::
    Alarm monitoring and complete fault management of BSS/RAN Network.
    Support to BSS/RAN shift personnel round the clock.
    Configuration management of BSS/RAN Radio sites and new Radio sites integration.
    Execution of Radio parameters optimization change requests from RF planning.
    HUSI monitoring of BSS/RAN network elements.
    Ensure that HUSI procedures are followed.
    Ensure that all Major upgrades/major changes that are service effecting are scheduled and completed properly as planned. Ensure that system is back on air after the activity.
    Ensure that all major BSS/RAN planned outages are conveyed properly to Customer Care.
    HUSI implementation of service effecting configurations of BSS/RAN Radio sites and Radio parameters optimizations.
    System administration and maintenance tasks of Ericsson OSS and Nokia Netact.
    Ensure proper trouble ticket generation and Tracking of BSS/RAN systems.
    Ensure that the new cell sites come on air with correct database and with out discrepancies.
    Provide 1st level support (junior) for trouble shooting network problem in packet and core network. 
    Provide 2nd level support (Mid and Senior) for trouble shooting network problem in packet and core network.
    Run routine health check through NetAct or OSS for NSS/VAS/IN elements.
    Develop MML scripts for integrating new cells and check clear codes to ensure BSS/RAN health-check.
    Support Planning and Implementation personnel in integration and acceptance testing activities.
    Handle Fault Reports and follow up with Supplier for rectification
    Handle all related customer complaints and trouble tickets and ensure proper Trouble Ticket (TT) escalation in the predefined timelines.
    Ensure that all services and network elements are up and healthy for achieving high availability rates.
    Execute network changes requested by network engineering and planning.
    Prepare all related O&M alarms & performance reports.
    Track all telecom network activities & ensure successful execution and completion.
    Ensure that all respective O&M procedures are followed in terms of planned/unplanned outages and site entry.
    Meet quality and performance KPI with supporting documents.
    Provide active support to other Wataniya Telecom departments.
    Ensure that upper management is informed on all critical issues pertaining to the area responsible for.
    Provides reports, make standard reports and tailor make them where necessary.
    Provide and manage support on special projects as and when assigned by seniors and superiors.
    Assists the management in developing and implementing procedures and standards that will provide effective workflows.
