Oracle POS Specialist - Alghanim Industries

The Oracle POS Specialist is responsible for the analysis, design, configuration & support of the Retail Oracle POS application to meet the business needs. Working closely with business to deliver, maintain and troubleshoot and enhance POS functionality, the Oracle POS Specialist adds value to the Retail Division through their knowledge of the Oracle POS module and knowledge of its integration with SAP and other business application.

Key Accountabilities:
# Oracle Retail Point of Sale (POS) Specialist will provide functional support and technical leadership to the Oracle Retail POS implementation and support program. # Acts as subject matter expert liaison between IT and Business on POS Oracle Retail application # Understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of Oracle, SAP and provide expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with this knowledge # Develops alternatives, software routines, and procedures for business systems applications
# Identify various logical architectural components of the applications and their service-oriented approach # Explain the recommended physical architecture of both a typical and large deployment of Store Solutions # Understand application-level technical design for Store Solutions # Design and review design document, implementation scripts to support the deployment of building and patches # Involved in improving operational metrics, business case development, performance measurements, setting expectations for area of responsibility, establishing priorities and documenting potential scope changes that may impact project and budget and timetable # Assist in functional change requests and support business implementations by sharing best practice configuration skills Good knowledge of ORPOS 13.3 Architecture, Debug and monitoring required # Experience MOM, SIM,RMS hand shake and its relevant linkage # Experience in L2 application support (JVM, SQL, ) with Retail Background # Knowledge of Java, J2EE, HTML, XML # Expertise on BO - CO and POS... # Perform initial testing of problem fixes, change request, enhancements, and new functionality. # Demonstrate proof of concept & assist in user training activities # Manage the data movement and access real-time information at the corporate office # Create a system architecture document (SAD) # Define the service-level agreements required for integration # Specify the general hardware and software requirements for deploying Store Solutions # Ability to help resolve complex technical issues and independently manage critical/complex Situations. # Ability to write and validate the technical specification and able to create test scripts

Skill, Knowledge and Experience Required:

# A university degree coupled with solid technology and Business Management experience. # 5+ years of experience in Oracle Point of Sale # Oracle SIM module knowledge and Mobile POS is desirable # Should have handled CRP/Demo, User trainings for customer implementation projects # Must have at least one full Lifecycle implementation of ORPOS Oracle Retail Point of Sales # Should have worked on ORPOS customizations and implementations # Expert in ORPOS functionalities, Experience in Integration of the Oracle store applications with SAP systems and experience in building, packaging, and Shell Scripting is needed as is experience in Data Migration & Rollouts. # Should have good knowledge in the integration of ORPOS with external devices such Credit card terminal Printers Scanner Magnetic Swipe readers etc. # Integration of ORPOS with other products such as ORSIM ORMS # Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills # Strong supervisory, coaching and project management skills # Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills # Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills
