Science Teacher - The English School

A well qualified and experienced specialist teacher is required to teach Science in Years 5 to 8.  The post would suit someone with experience of teaching Science in Key Stages 2 & 3.  The newly appointed teacher would work alongside the Science Coordinator in further enhancing standards and promoting interest in the subject.  The ideal candidate would also be able to offer ICT as a second subject and be willing to teach children in both the Pre-Prep and Prep. Appropriate support and direction would be provided in this area by the ICT Coordinator.  Whilst the focus for the role is Science, the precise balance of the timetable would very much depend upon the individual appointed as, like all good schools, we retain a degree of flexibility in how we manage and deploy our manpower and expertise.

Candidates must have British qualifications.  They are expected to hold a Bachelor's degree and a recognised teaching qualification.  Prior experience in an international school setting is not essential.  If you are considering working overseas for the first time, or even have a significant amount of international experience, then Kuwait might just provide you with an opportunity that changes your life for the good and forever.  There is something magical about working at TES and Kuwait has a unique attraction which makes it difficult to leave.

Information on the generous remuneration package can be viewed via the link on the main advertisement page.

Applicants should submit a letter of application together with their CV and the full contact details of two referees by email to recruitment@tes.edu.kw. The closing date is 1st February, 2014. FaceTime and/or Skype addresses might also be useful for long list interviews.

Interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place in Kuwait on 10th & 11th February or in London on the 17th & 18th February, 2014.
