The Consultant is required to support OSS/BSS/VAS/NQD IT infrastructure which covers vast areas varies from : Servers, Storage Subsystems, backup environment, Operating Systems, databases, virtualization, IP network.
Wataniya currently is undergoing deployment of the following business projects which requires extensive support from IT planning infrastructure: IVR Revamp, ERP Revamp, Portal Upgrade, Campaign Management, IT & VAS virtualization/consolidation, MSDP migration, RA/FMS, CRM modernization. In addition to the above, the consultant should support Wataniya’s IT infrastructure roadmap which is quite extensive covering: NHQ IT infrastructure setup, Disaster Recovery for mission critical applications, data archiving, backup environment enhancement, storage virtualization, cloud management software with Ooredoo.
Qualifications:
Excellent command of both written and verbal English.
Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute.
Qualifications / Requirements::
Support current and in queue business projects by contributing in solutions infrastructure deployment, sizing, design, testing and commissioning.
Support daily activities of storage allocations, backup scheduling, and IT environments refresh
Support new infrastructure projects (IT virtualization, VAS consolidation, cloud management software with Ooredoo, New Head Quarter IT infrastructure deployment) from a deployment and day to day support angle.
Support the deployment of Enterprise Data Archiving project
Support databases consolidation project “project ongoing”
Supporting storage “cleanup” project which will include revising all historical storage requests, audit them and reclaim the unused capacity “started & ongoing”
Responsible for all infrastructure software related requests (OS and Databases licensing). That responsibility includes assessing the real need of those requests and trying to audit them “ongoing activities”
Support IT inventory which covers all IT Infrastructure.
