Required Audit Senior - KPMG Safi Al-Mutawa And Partners in Kuwait


KPMG Safi Al-Mutawa & Partners, Kuwait is looking to recruit qualified Audit professionals to be part of our External Audit division that assist in carrying out the audit process of small/medium firms with the supervision of the engagement manager. This position will assist the audit managers in carrying out day-to-day activities related to the audit process and providing guidance to junior team members.
Educational Qualification:
  • Graduate degree in Accounting or related field
Certification:
  • CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA (should be pursuing or completed)
Experience:
  • 2-4 years
  • Big4 experience desirable 
  • Bilingual candidates preferred 
  • Good Knowledge of IFRS
Responsibilities:Responsibilities will include planning and execution of all assigned tasks for our clients in various sectors. Successful candidates should be able to perform the following:
  • Applies knowledge of current issues in audit, accounting, financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements and industry specific concerns to client engagements, identifies where they may impact the client and reflects these in the audit documentation
  • Should be able to complete the process of testing the current business practices and internal rules for reasonableness
  • Should be able to carry out at least couple of engagements simultaneously while takes independent responsibility on one or two from the small clients
  • Ensure deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines
  • Assume responsibility for major components of engagements and contribute client relationship through interactions with client personnel
  • Communicate any problems in complying with Audit instructions, or any contentious issues identified, to the assignment manager immediately
  • Be responsible for the assigned audit field work, managing work within budgeted hours for a small engagement
  • Should be able to complete the process of testing the current business practices and internal rules for reasonableness
  • Establishes the key audit objectives with appropriate Risk of Significant Misstatement by identifying the significant accounts, the significant risks and the significant fraud risks, in conjunction with the Engagement Manager
  • Understands how to assess the sufficiency and appropriateness of evidence and conclusions reached on an audit by reviewing the working papers of junior staff and begins to participate in the evaluation of issues raised with the Engagement Manager
  • Should be able to lead & review all the work process complete by junior team members
  • Maximize technical experience through working on various clients’ sectors
