Job Description
1) Ensure implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Obstetrics/Gynaecology Department Policy and Guidelines.
2) Diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to Ob/Gyn department.
3) Provide supervision to the department registrars.
4) Ensure safety of patients and staff.
5) Set up a coordinated management system for the department.
6) Responsible for directing, planning, managing, and coordinating operations for the patient care activities.
7) Responsible for maintaining a working environment that promotes high standards for patient care, customer service, and ethical behavior.
8) Participates regularly with other Ob/Gyn staff, in decision-making related to patient care.
9) Provides leadership for organizational performance improvement activities.
10) Plans for the provision of orientation, in service and continuing education programs, along with other consultants of the department.
11) Participates in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs.
