Chief Financial Officer – Agility

Job Description
Job Summary
Manages, Controls & Plans finance operations according to general accepted accounting principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), established procedures and departmental guidelines.
Support Metal Recycling Co. (MRC) and its subsidiaries in various senior level financial, analytical and operational functioning.
Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Controls, Manages, Plans, Organizes and Implements accounting operations and objectives; coordinates and integrates all activities towards achievement of established goals and objectives.
The main owner and leader in compiling strategic financial business plan as well as directs and co-ordinates the planning and preparation of annual and long-term capital and operating budgets (as required) for senior management / corporate approval.
Ensures that Management Accounts and other financial data is available in an accurate, concise and up-to-date basis, furthermore provides a performance “dashboard” on a monthly basis along with forecasts against departmental KPI’s.
Optimizes and designs organizational process with the help of IT.
Assist the other department leaders in the monthly operations review, identifications of areas for cost reduction and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting and periodic analysis of operations performance.
Select, train, motivate, performance appraisals, devising PDP, coaching and evaluate department personnel.
Direct, co-ordinate and review work plans for the department, assign activities, monitor work flow, review and evaluate policies and procedures.
Hold monthly updates with team members and key strategic partners in the office for dissemination of information; prepares management meetings for dissemination of information also.
Conducts regular planning exercise in evaluating / analyzing trends highlighting key variances requiting action.
Assist in preparing monthly analysis of income and operational expenses against prior year budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks.
Preparation of operational data analysis for Management-Business Development / Procurement /Recruiting etc. who rely on benefits from the information to make the informed business decisions.
Supervise in Developing and constantly upgrading financial reporting packages; exclusively for the GGM and the Board members.
Ensures all functions and programs under charge are performed within established budgetary parameters, to include performing cost control activities, monitoring revenues and expenditures, and ensuring sound fiscal control.
Acts as a lead member in performing due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and successfully integrating operations.
Coordinating with auditors and generates various system reports for audit calculations, ensures accuracy, e.g., invoicing accounts payable, payroll processing & billing.
Prepares a variety of studies, reports and makes presentations to the BOD and other managers pertaining to the financial performance of the company.
Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
Provide support to the Corporate and Operational activities through informational analyzes such as reviewing of actual performances v/s current & prior year budget, Financial statement analyses report etc.
Maintaining a good strategic working relationship with all the business partners in order to ensure smooth flow of the business; e.g. resolving any existing issues with banks or other business partners.
Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company’s Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements.
Full Knowledge in Kuwait Labor Law and Capital Marketing Authority including daily communications and details reports.
To maintain a working relationship and to develop additional relationships with banks, financial institutions and capital markets with the aim of securing the funds necessary for the operations of the firm, the attainment of its development plans and its investments.
Maintain a strategic working relationship with team and all key departments.
Be a lead Ambassador of MRC by being “Environmentally Committed” at all times.
Key Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Science, Master’s degree preferable – Professional accounting certification-CA/ACCA/CPA
Minimum 10 years of experience
Manufacturing background
Adept in Microsoft office package –Advanced Excel skills, Oracle, Access, PowerPoint
Basic Project Management skills
High level of verbal and written communication skills (English is essential; Arabic is an added asset)
