The Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.
We currently have a position open for a Communication Technician position in Kuwait.
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform complex diagnoses, repairs, and modifications to military ground data/communications equipment, to include COMSEC equipment. Coordinate the evacuation and receipt of communications equipment turned in for repairs with other maintenance activities. Requisition parts and monitor maintenance reports. Provide practical application of In-depth knowledge of electrical circuitry, principles and formulas to COMSEC equipment. Provide practical application of In-depth working knowledge of COMSEC integration in single-channel and multi-channel communications systems. Apply working knowledge of wire color-codes, symbols, layout sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders, and manufacturer's specifications to troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of field communications equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
 BASIC:

* Associate's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
* In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
* Four years experience as an Electronic Technician with direct related COMSEC maintenance. 
* Complete applicable formalized COMSEC Repairman courses or equivalent.
* Must be capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance.
* Must have valid passport.
* Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
* U.S. Citizen
* Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
For Kuwait Positions:
* Applicants must be able to obtain a finding of 'NO RECORD FOUND' on the FBI Background Record Investigation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Possess a DD-1435 or DD-214 with any of the following MOS: 2800, 2862, or 2891; or cryptographic maintenance certificates documenting applicable COMSEC equipment experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / INFORMATION:
* Must have a good working knowledge of computer operating systems and applications with practical knowledge on configuring software based on hardware requirements and peripherals.
* Basic knowledge of electronic circuitry, principles, and formulas, and their practical application to COMSEC equipment.
* Basic working knowledge of COMSEC integration in single-channel and multi-channel communications systems.
* It is mandatory that employees live on base, aboard a military installation.
* Must be willing and able to travel (military airlift) and work in other countries in the region of the Middle East.
* In addition to meeting Honeywell employment requirements, the United States Marine Corps has minimal standards of fitness for deployment. Your continued employment is contingent upon your being approved for deployment by the United States Marine Corps, in accordance with their policies and regulations.
* Most work will be performed in extreme temperatures, employees must be willing and able to work under these conditions as determined by a required physical examination.
* This duration of this position is subject to change based on customer needs.
