Job Purpose:
To provide financial control and report on treasury’s performance against plan and budget
Accountabilities:
Planning and budgeting
Develop performance objectives and budgets for treasury in conjunction with Treasury Controller, and in line with GB’s overall budget plans
Review and verification
Ensure FX and MM operations comply with treasury’s policy and guidelines.
Report uncovered branch currency positions for all FX deals.
Resolve accounting issues in FX and MM deals.
Analyze and report loans and deposits forecast from business groups.
Analyze contractual, behavioral and dynamic scenarios in Balance Sheet analysis for existing and forecasted volumes.
Reporting
Report daily FX & MM profitability to the dealers and GM, Treasury.
Distribute FX income to business units via the monthly FX Reallowance exercise
Report treasury deposits due for maturity including the tenor and cost
Prepare the Treasury Balance sheet on weekly basis
To ensure period-end and average balances tallies with Central MIS data.
Coordinate with MM dealer for market lot and GBK allotment details on bills/bonds bidding.
Prepare monthly performance report and advise on variances from plan
Analyze market information and assist in preparing ALCO presentation
System implementation:
Advise on the use of the ERM Asset Liability Management module
Ensure the dealing accounting system is scalable and error free.
Corporate Governance and compliance
Work fully within risk policies and procedures and all compliance regulations
Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor degree – economics/ commerce
Knowledge
Knowledge of treasury activities and processes.
Knowledge of modeling and forecasting techniques
Knowledge of treasury control mechanisms
Experience
1 – 3 years of banking experience preferably in treasury
Generic/Specific Skills
MS Office proficient.
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask
