Sr. Manager Budgeting and Planning – Ooredoo Group

The Role:
Responsible for preparing Ooredoo Telecom’s short and long term Business Plan and Budgeting processes and monitor actual performance against plans and budgets. Working with, and supporting, Management in the preparation and interpretation of a wide variety of financial reports and Business anlysis activity.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Ooredoo Telecom’s draft Profit Planning based on the provisional business projections for management approval.
Responsible for coordinating the process and preparing the long range (3 –5 years) Business Plan and Annual Operating Plan for Ooredoo Telecom.
Monitor budget activities for Ooredoo Telecom and projects to determine total funding requirements, and report actual expenditure against those budgets.
Arrange to collect and compile relevant business projections from all Divisions.
Verify the Budget inputs, review, compile and consolidate the projected Financials of all Divisions.
Identify, evaluate and review weaknesses in the operating and capital budgets, and make recommendations to rectify those weaknesses.
Support and challenge the Division Directors in the production of budgets and financial reports, ensuring they have all of the specialist accounting inputs to produce accurate and realistic plans in the correct format.
To give necessary assistance to the Managers for making business forecast and income projections in connection with the budget exercise.
Benchmarking analysis with other mobile phone businesses.
Coordinate with the Group on the Business Planning Process, and for the effective execution of the same.
Responsible for forecast on a periodic basis in coordination with various departments.
Responsible for providing a comprehensive view of Operational and Financial performance to the senior Management, Board, and the Ooredoo Group on a periodic basis.
Highlighting various Financial and Nonfinancial performance indicators to the Management with the sound analysis and actively coordinating the solution.
Identify and highlight the Cost optimization/ reduction opportunities to the Management.
Responsible for helping, assessing and monitoring investment decisions.
Perform the Product and Business Anslysis in alignment of the Companies Stragegic Objectives and evaluate the Business Cases.
Prepare/ assess the various pricing models based on the detailed Commercial and Technical inputs.

Work to improve employee performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.
Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) are completed for all staff in accordance with Ooredoo Telecom policy.
Qualifications:
10+ years post-qualification experience
5+ years management experience
3-5 years Telecom Experience
Excellent command of both written and verbal English
Good knowledge of MS Office applications, Oracle Financials and basic knowledge of Telecom industry systems.
Ability to operate in a multicultural, multinational work environment, exhibiting appropriate sensitivities.
Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics from a recognized institution
Professionally qualified preferably a CPA, CMA or MBA from a reputed institute.
