Eticketing issues Indian Railways New Portal

The new website indianrailways.gov.in is facing several performance as well as functional issues due to which users are facing issues. For getting help or assistance, the website has provided the following contact details.

For user creation or mobile verification issues, send the username and mobile number to the mailid customercare@indianrailways.gov.in or contact Help Desk 


For Failed transactions / non-refund send a mail to customercare@indianrailways.gov.in with the following details


1. Transaction Id, PNR, Amount


For cancellation of the ticket, send a mail to customercare@indianrailways.gov.in with the following details


1. User Id, Mobile No., EmailId and Registered Address, Ticket Details (Train No., Date of Journey, From - To, Class of Travel, Passenger Details - Name , Age, Gender)



Indian Railways New eticketing Portal

Indian Railways got a new eticketing portal and the URL is http://www.indianrailways.gov.in

The new portal user registration is as follows

Type the URL www.indianrailways.gov.in in your browser. Google Chrome is faster than other browsers. We recommend using Chrome.

Home Page will come as follows.


When you move mouse over Passenger Services you will get drop down menu with several options. Select Etciketing.


Once you click Eticketing the Login Page will come, new users are required to click on Sign Up for creating a username and password. Remember that IRCTC userids will not work in this Portal. IRCTC is a separate ticketing website. Their URL is www.irctc.co.in


Now in the User Creation Page provide your details. EmailId and Mobile number should be valid, because Indian Railways will send verification mail and sms for activating the user account.


Once you filled in, click on Confirm. Now check your mailid for the verification mail. Similarly you will get a verification code to your mobile. Click on the link in the mail and you will get a page saying your email has been verified and ask you to provide the mobile verification code you have received. Once the process is completed you will be able to login to the Portal and start using the website.
